Each summer, as full-time employees take their vacations, a new group of summer workers steps in to keep operations running smoothly at our Hanko plant. This year, interest in these roles reached new heights, with over 300 applications received.
Among the selected candidates were Joel Sipiläinen, Fredrik Parvinen, and Wilhelm Parvinen, three students who brought energy, curiosity, and a strong work ethic to the floor. Whether supporting production, running quality checks, or learning from seasoned colleagues, each of them embraced the experience with enthusiasm.
“Summer workers are very important for us, and we’re proud of how they step in with energy, eagerness to learn, and the ability to spread joy around the plant,” says Plant Manager Joachim Lund.
The summer workers highlight the value of variety, teamwork, and continuous improvement — both in the work itself and in their own development. Their stories show how hands-on experience builds confidence, strengthens ambition, and connects education with real-world application.
