Consistent production results depend on more than choosing the right casing. Stuffing equipment, process settings and heat treatment all influence how the casing performs in the final application.
When Czech equipment manufacturer Mauting requested training for a new technician, ViskoTeepak’s Innovation Center in Brno provided an opportunity to examine the complete process under realistic production conditions.
The practical training covered:
- Cellulose casings and their common applications.
- Three representative products prepared under realistic conditions.
- Different stuffing machines and production setups.
- Typical production mistakes and their effect on the final result.
- Cooking cycles and heat treatment in a Mauting UKM 2001 smoking chamber.
The session also created a valuable two-way exchange. ViskoTeepak shared knowledge about Wienie-Pak cellulose casings and suitable cooking cycles, while the Mauting technician provided guidance on making full use of the smoking chamber during heat treatment.
Following the process from stuffing to cooking helped both teams examine the casing as part of the complete production setup. This shared understanding supports clearer technical discussions, more efficient troubleshooting and better-informed customer support.
The training strengthened the cooperation between ViskoTeepak and Mauting while keeping both teams focused on the same objective: reliable production results and satisfied customers.
