What is plastic casing?

Our Nova plastic casing is produced through a combination of 4 different plastic raw materials to provide the unique characteristics of the Nova Casing. Each raw material is melted in an extruder to arrive into a extrusion head where each thin layer is glued together to make a tube that passes through the die to the cool bath. After the cooling water, the casing passes through a hot bath before orientation. The casing is filled with air and stretched in both directions – transverse (transverse direction) and longitudinal (machine direction) – to create a bi-oriented casing. After orientation, the casing passes through an annealing oven; following this, the casing is cooled and rolled to the desired metres per roll.
